This class is designed to improve the handler's skill set and the dog's abilities to perform loose leash walking. You will focus on developing attention to handler and taking the "pull" out of a walk. Each exercise will build on previous skills development. All exercises are geared to achieving the eventual goals.
We will cover the following:
• Defining what "Loose Leash" Means
• Attention/Watch
Me
• Unloading the Leash
• Rates of Reinforcement
• Types of Rewarding
• Heeling Games
Prerequisite:
You and your dog must have completed
Basic Obedience prior to enrolment in this class.
What you need to know before class starts:
• You must provide proof of
your dog's most recent vaccination (bring the original and we will make a copy
fo you).
• Bring a pair of comfortable indoor rubber soled shoes (runners
would be best) as we will be moving around the training room and NO
outdoor shoes are allowed inside the training area.
4 weeks, 1 hour/week ... $200.00+HST*
